Essential Oil

Copal Santo

Botanical Name : Bursera Copallifera

Origin : Mexico

Olfactive family : Ambery

Harvester : Darmex

Harvested part : Resin

Main application : Diffusion

The Essential Oil of Copal Santo (Bursera Copallifera) is extracted from the resin of a Palo Santo native from Mexico. Its harvest is very original since the white resin is recovered in large leaves of agaves which are attached under the part of the tree that we come to incise. A product as rare as it is precious, part of what we call the resinous notes. More precisely, its fragrance is terpenic and aromatic, like a subtle olfactory mix between pine needles and sap that sometimes stick to the fingers. At first it annoys, before becoming a comforting smell that we like to keep.

Copal Santo is a bit of all this at the same time, an exceptional essential oil that we never tire of breathing several times a day in a diffuser or on a wet wipe and that accompanies us at every moment to fight against our fears and our daily worries.

OLFACTORY DESCRIPTION

An exceptional resinous note, Copal Santo essential oil is piercing, zesty and ethereal when it takes flight. Very quickly, it resembles the terpenic effects of conifers, evoking pine needles, but especially its distant cousin incense. A rich bridge between radiant aromatic notes and deeper, ambery and woody ones, the fragrance stands on its own : a raw olfactory jewel.
