The perfumed spirit or alcoholate of Rose (Rosa Damascena) is an extract obtained by cold washing the concrete of rose made from flowers harvested in India. This old method has been brought up to date by our sourcing manager, and allows us to get as close as possible to the original smell of the flower, and to retranscribe its entire olfactory spectrum.

At once gushing, green and sunny, this extract is ideal for creating feminine fragrances with character or simply to enhance your cosmetic creations. But above all it will surprise you with its irresistible floral and spicy fragrance.

OLFACTORY DESCRIPTION

A prodigal and fair queen, this Rose is an example of “raw material-perfume”. The opening is gushing, green and solar : morning dew, the silken texture of a petal… Then the floral and fruity accord crisscrosses between lemony, honeyed, herbaceous, spicy facets… From the flesh of the lychee to the ground clove through tiny metallic and leguminous nuances, the show goes on generously, without impatience… While the base gradually takes over, this olfactory amplitude concentrates its radiance in an ambery and musky rough diamond, absolutely irresistible.

In food

FEMA Number : 2989

*The FEMA number is an international food safety number. It is essential to be able to use them in food, without it, you are not allowed to consume them. Le Sourceur rejects any responsibility in case of non respect of these rules. Our alcoholates are also very concentrated in alcohol, it seems that they are ideal to use to create syrups, cocktails or any dish to be eaten cold, especially desserts. On the other hand and after many tests, their flash point seems too low to be of any interest in a hot dish. Be careful with their use in the kitchen, too much of them can be dangerous. If in doubt, contact a specialist.

our recipes

We recommend the Rose alcoholate for a small perfumed touch, go sparingly at the risk of tasting your dish several times before enjoying it. Also be careful with its alcohol content, especially for children. However, it should be noted that the alcohol is food grade.

Some recipe ideas in which to incorporate our Rose Perfumed Spirit :

• Jams – add at the end of cooking, a few drops are enough
• Compotes – add at the end of cooking, a few drops are enough
• Ice cream – just a few drops
