Tuberose

Botanical Name : Polianthes Tuberosa

Country of Origin : India

Olfactive family : Floral

Harvester : Behave

Harvested part : Flowers

Main application : Diffusion

The perfumed spirit or alcoholate of Tuberose (Polianthes Tuberosa) is an extract obtained by cold washing of the concrete of tuberose made from flowers harvested in India. This old method has been brought up to date by our sourcing manager, and allows us to get as close as possible to the original smell of the flower, and to retranscribe its entire olfactory spectrum.

Exhilarating, bewitching and powerful, this extract is ideal for creating feminine perfumes with character or simply to enhance your cosmetic creations. But it will surprise you as much in olfaction only thanks to its heady fragrance.

Perfumery

OLFACTORY DESCRIPTION

Tuberose impresses : heady and sometimes exhilarating, its intensity is undeniable. Here, we find it gracefully green, floral and honeyed, evoking mandarin and lily. Then the floral note buries us under a wave of unctuousness : powdery and balmy, almost milky. Once the wave has passed, the ensemble calms down and finds harmony around a finely animalic axis, a bewitching and persistent musky signature.

FEMA Number : 3084

*The FEMA number is an international food safety number. It is essential to be able to use them in food, without it, you are not allowed to consume them. Le Sourceur rejects any responsibility in case of non respect of these rules. Our alcoholates are also very concentrated in alcohol, it seems that they are ideal to use to create syrups, cocktails or any dish to be eaten cold, especially desserts. On the other hand and after many tests, their flash point seems too low to be of any interest in a hot dish. Be careful with their use in the kitchen, too much of them can be dangerous. If in doubt, contact a specialist.

Our recipes

We recommend the Tuberose alcoholate for a small perfumed touch, but use it sparingly or risk tasting your dish several times before enjoying it. Also be careful with its alcohol content, especially for children. However, it should be noted that the alcohol is food grade.
