Sharavati, is a 128 km long river especially known for the Jog waterfalls which are the highest in the country. The legends tell that the god Rama to quench the thirst of his wife Sita (goddess of the cultivated earth and vegetation, symbolizing fertility) to shoot an arrow with his bow and fired it into the ground, causing a crack creating the river Sharavati (shara meaning arrow) and bringing water to his sweetheart.
Sharavati is a high place of preserved biodiversity, a real green lung of southwestern India, it is home to fauna and flora of which a part is protected. It was declared a wildlife reserve in 1972 and it is home to all sorts of species, some of which are endangered..
Sharavati represents an India of gesture. A way of life dictated by very poetic religious codes such as Puja, a 15-step ritual conducted by a Brahmin and supposed to cause the descent of deities into an object, an image representing them. This ceremony takes on the air of a perfumed gesture thanks to the offerings of flowers made to the deities. In the Hindu tradition each house and temple has one or more altars to invoke the gods.
The Puja is a daily ritual to thank the gods. We first invite them by invoking and offering them to sit by our side. We offer them to wash after the journey they have just made to join us and we thank them by offering flowers, food, scents like sandalwood and incense. At the end of this ceremony we thank and dismiss the god so that he can go back to where he came from. The puja is also a ritual practiced by Buddhists and Jains.
Our interior mist Sharavati is the power and beauty of the Indian flora irrigated by its rivers and an explosion of colors going from the Jasmine to the Rose while passing by the Geranium. Colors that intermingle to paint a divine canvas that sandalwood finally fixes in an agreement linking earth and sky for a diffusion within your home.
Flowing into the Arabian Sea, Sharavati symbolizes in its own way the oriental treasure from where the most beautiful Indian riches flow. Waterfalls and multiple streams meet there and tune into the rhythm of the monsoon. The fragrance is generous and unifying : from floral to woody, through the 1001 nuances of the Orient, the facets of Sharavati all sparkle with the same jewel.
Inherited from the Oriental olfactory family, the Sharavati perfumed mist adapts this thousand-year-old agreement to the format of a room fragrance. Thus, the fragrance reveals all its richness from the very first seconds, disregarding the olfactory pyramid in 3 acts usually induced by perfuming on skin. Here, the explosion is notably floral, fruity and spicy thanks to the Rose alcoholate, which is joined by the herbaceous essence of Bourbon Geranium. Jasmine also freezes the bewitching note of this carnal bouquet, while Patchouli oil already embraces the accord with its characteristic warmth. The structure is intended to be stable and recognizable over time, targeting what defines the heart of oriental fragrances.
The rose, the geranium, here, we are really in the opening of the heart. Jasmine will bring a subtle aphrodisiac and Sandalwood is an ally of meditation and will help you connect to your sensuality.
