Geranium Bourbon or Pelargonium Graveolens essential oil was introduced to Reunion Island in 1870, then to Madagascar. The variety that grows on the island’s high plateaus is known for its abundance of flowers. Its scent is somewhere between rosy and fruity. The extract is distilled on site using steam distillation, resulting in a 100% pure and natural essential oil.

Geranium Bourbon essential oil is renowned for its countless virtues. It is primarily considered a mild anti-infective (antiviral, antibacterial, antifungal). It also has tonic properties that promote blood circulation. It is also anti-inflammatory and stimulating. It is an essential ingredient in the various disciplines of perfumery, aromatherapy, and olfactotherapy.

Olfactory description

Bright and enchanting, geranium offers a generous floral and fruity top note. Juicy lychees, pears and nectarines intertwine around a ‘morning rosé’ effect. Aromatic accents of peppermint and nettle underscore the overall sparkling olfactory profile. Then, inviting more and more comparisons with rose, the fruity effect tends towards grapefruit and more exotic fruits, such as papaya or passion fruit. As the maelstrom calms down and stabilises, a tea effect remains unperturbed, supported by a distant amber call.
