Our Upcycling Sandalwood Absolute (Santalum Album) is a precious and unique extract, the result of years of experimentation to obtain something new from something old. In the beginning, nothing too trivial: Sandalwood Album grown in Australia is transformed into essential oil by hydrodistillation. At the end of the process, the dry wood is usually used as fuel. But not this time. As part of our drive to recycle waste, and because it seems obvious that the material has some deep-seated secrets, we wanted to dig a little deeper.
So we collected this dry waste and proposed this somewhat crazy project to our extraction partners. We finally succeeded thanks to a sophisticated method that uses natural citroflex as a solvent and captures the last olfactory notes of white sandalwood, offering a unique, original, and particularly aromatic absolute. Upcycling not only reduces waste, it gives materials a second life, while respecting our commitment to the environment and sustainability.
Sandalwood Absolute Upcycling differs from Sandalwood Album essential oil in its more woody, toasty notes, deliciously reminiscent of burnt caramel. A pure olfactory gem that we recommend with our eyes closed.

As Santal Blanc, its base fragrance is persistent, musky and subtly animalic. A rediscovery of this great perfumery classic, never lacking in charm.
