New arrivals: Infusions, Ultrasounds and Upcycling!
As its name suggests, Cape Chamomile Essential Oil, or eriocephalus punctulatus, is native to South Africa. It is obtained by hydrodistillation of the flowering tops of the plant that the few local producers collect by hand. A rare and fascinating fact, its color is a magnificent Royal Blue that almost makes you want to dive in.
Essential Oil of Cape Chamomile has a reassuring quality that makes sense when smelled, with its sweet, fruity or floral fragrance. It reminds us of the most beautiful smells of our childhood, from harlequin candy to ripe apple. Comforting and relaxing at the same time, we constantly want to return to it. Without ever leaving her again! To be discovered without further delay.
The fragrance of Chamomile is like a piercing but refined ray from the start. This unique olfactory aura is as aromatic as it is floral or fruity, and subtly evokes a certain herbaceous mountain flora and the singular brandies that come from it.
Moreover, taking its age-old name from “little apple” specifically for its fragrance, one can appreciate its ripe fruit facets bringing a unique touch to any type of composition.
Base
Mandora / Clary Sage / Geranium / Damiana / Patchouli
Used sparingly, Chamomile inevitably adds a little something, a binding agent or a point of contrast, in various compositions : aromatic, fruity, floral, chypre or woody.
Aromatic Elixir perfume and its variations use a more widespread but fundamentally similar scent note : Chamomile Matricaria. This note can also be found in “L’Eau Chic” by Nicolaï, “Eau du Printemps” by L’Artisan Parfumeur or “Back to Black” by Killian.
Sit comfortably, close your eyes and inhale its incredible aroma. Immediately, the muscles relax, you find yourself soothed and relaxed. A magnificent ally for moments of stress!
