New arrivals: Infusions, Ultrasounds and Upcycling!
The Darjeeling Black Tea (Camellia Sinensis) from Le Sourceur is a true gem of nature. All the more so when you consider that the extract was not originally intended to be used. It is the result of cutting-edge processing methods, the first of which was not intended for this purpose at all. The starting point is the decaffeination of the tea leaves using a gentle extraction process carried out with supercritical CO2, with the aim, as the method suggests, of producing decaffeinated tea. During this process, a by-product is obtained, a tea wax that is usually simply discarded. It is specifically this extract that caught our attention in our desire to recycle waste.
This wax is then optimised using the absolute method, which captures all the olfactory molecules of the pure, natural essence of Darjeeling tea. A way of creating beauty while avoiding waste and extending the life of natural resources.
The tea used by Le Sourceur gives this absolute a soft and delicate herbaceous fragrance, evoking freshness and serenity, with a slightly tart top note reminiscent of rhubarb, gradually giving way to a delicious tea scent.
Approached from countless angles in perfumery, the tea note is often green and relatively fresh. Here, the real extract of Camellia Sinensis is much more authentic: aromatic and woody, country like hay and slightly rancid like the fragrance of seaweed by the sea…
It recalls the smoky, fermented facets of Tuo Cha, a so-called “dark” Pu’er Shu tea, often presented in the form of strongly scented cakes. In plain English, the tea extract is unfathomably green, displaying a unique balsamic amplitude.
Top, Heart, Base
Thunderous and massive, tea in all its grandeur.
Its authentic tobacco and seaweed facets, marine and coumarin, form a pillar that acts as top, heart and base notes. To be accessorised with floral, aromatic, balsamic or woody notes.
Tea Absolute is an olfactotherapy treasure for its positive impact on emotional well-being. Its sweet, herbal fragrance has properties that soothe the nervous system. Breathing in its delicate aroma reduces stress and promotes relaxation, helping to calm the mind and bring a sense of inner peace.
This precious essence also acts as an emotional support, helping to manage emotions and improve mood. Its refreshing scent promotes an overall sense of well-being, helping to balance emotions and bring inner stability.
