The essential oil of Damiana (Turnera Diffusa) is derived from the flower and leaf of Damiana native to Mexico. It is then obtained by steam distillation. Its fragrance is singular in every way. Fresh and aromatic, it is somewhere between ripe fruit and mate. A note as interesting as powerful that we advise to feel with delicacy by using a support such as a wick.
Damiana is also known for its aphrodisiac virtues, and without discrimination of sex please ! Indispensable for the female balance while stimulating the libido, it promotes erection in men. An essential oil to be kept under the comforter.
The olfactory note of Damiana is singular but fascinating by its contrasting airs. Fresh and aromatic at first, it also suggests the skin of a ripe but crunchy fruit, before inviting the nose towards woody depths evoking mate. Its delicate use makes it all the more interesting in the right blend!
Heart, Base
Bourbon Geranium / Rose / Sugi
Its delicate use makes it a double-edged ingredient, but finding the right floral or fruity junction to support the olfactory complexity of Damiana can lead to happy surprises…
As far as we know, this raw material is mostly used for aromatherapy purposes and is only asking to be used more in compositions for its fragrance !
Its small yellow flowers are used since the dawn of time for their aphrodisiac virtues. And with the olfaction, it is necessary to say that we find easily this animal side, part that it will awake in us! Evoking sensuality, it will also act on the anxiety and will be a beautiful psychic stimulating help.
