New arrivals: Infusions, Ultrasounds and Upcycling!
Ravintsara, originally from Asia and introduced to Madagascar by the Chinese in the 19th century, is a camphor tree whose leaves were known in Malagasy as “bonnes feuilles” (“good leaves”). These were traditionally used to fight infections and boost the immune system.
Today, Ravintsara Essential Oil, extracted from the leaves of the Cinnamomum Camphora tree, is a precious essence renowned for its many therapeutic properties. At Le Sourceur, we steam distil it, which guarantees 100% pure, natural quality, making Le Sourceur Ravintsara Essential Oil an essential choice in aromatherapy to support your health and well-being.
Classifiable in the large aromatic family, its singular note is camphorated, wild and fiery. Some finely floral facets evoke the bouquet of a mountain spirit such as Génépi liqueur, and stretch out over a resinous woody base.
Mainly used in aromatherapy, it is rarely found in perfume formulas. It can be used as an accessory to contextualize a floral or woody note, giving it a breath of fresh air.
In synergy with other respiratory aromatics (Mint, Eucalyptus) to soothe bronchial tubes and combat flu symptoms. Olfactively uplifting and intensely green, it adds a purifying herbaceous dimension.
Rarely used in fine fragrances. It’s up to you !
Ravintsara essential oil offers a wide range of benefits for the psycho-emotional sphere. It is a precious ally in countering stress, calming anxiety and regulating emotionality. Its fresh, invigorating fragrance acts as a balm for the mind, fostering a sense of openness, tolerance and self-confidence.
