Geranium Bourbon or Pelargonium Graveolens essential oil was introduced to Reunion Island in 1870, then to Madagascar. The variety that grows on the island's high plateaus is known for its abundance of flowers. Its scent is somewhere between rosy and fruity. The extract is distilled on site using steam distillation, resulting in a 100% pure and natural essential oil.

Geranium Bourbon essential oil is renowned for its countless virtues. It is primarily considered a mild anti-infective (antiviral, antibacterial, antifungal). It also has tonic properties that promote blood circulation. It is also anti-inflammatory and stimulating. The alcoholate of Fir Balsam (Abies Balsamea) is an extract obtained by cold washing of the concrete of Fir Balsam made from the needles of the tree harvested in North America. This old method has been brought up to date by our chief sourceur, and allows us to get as close as possible to the original smell of the tree, and to retranscribe its entire olfactory spectrum.

Our Upcycling Sandalwood Absolute (Santalum Album) is a precious and unique extract, the result of years of experimentation to obtain something new from something old. In the beginning, nothing too trivial: Sandalwood Album grown in Australia is transformed into essential oil by hydrodistillation. At the end of the process, the dry wood is usually used as fuel. But not this time. As part of our drive to recycle waste, and because it seems obvious that the material has some deep-seated secrets, we wanted to dig a little deeper.

So we collected this dry waste and proposed this somewhat crazy project to our extraction partners. We finally succeeded thanks to a sophisticated method that uses natural citroflex as a solvent and captures the last olfactory notes of white sandalwood, offering a unique, original, and particularly aromatic absolute. Upcycling not only reduces waste, it gives materials a second life, while respecting our commitment to the environment and sustainability.

Sandalwood Absolute Upcycling differs from Sandalwood Album essential oil in its more woody, toasty notes, deliciously reminiscent of burnt caramel. A pure olfactory gem that we recommend with our eyes closed.

The spirit or alcoholate of Tonka (Dipterix Odorata) is an extract obtained by cold washing of the Tonka concrete made from beans harvested in Venezuela. This old method, brought up to date by our sourcing manager, allows us to get as close as possible to the original scent of the tonka bean, and to retranscribe its entire olfactory spectrum.
